Come enjoy a very special evening of entertainment with two amazing musicians who both enjoy dedicated and ever-expanding fan bases. Texas singer-songwriter Shake Russell, has been entertaining audiences for years with his unique Americana style of folk rock, weaving sophisticated harmonies through his songs and drawing from various genres. He has released 30 albums in his career with his latest, “Chasing the Song.” A prolific songwriter, his songs and albums have frequented the Billboard charts, including “You’ve Got a Lover” (Ricky Skaggs) “Deep in the West” (Waylon Jennings/Jessi Colter), “Put Yourself in My Shoes” (Clint Black), “The Girl Just Loves to Dance” (Gary P Nunn), and Miranda Lambert’s “You Wouldn’t Know Me,” which went platinum in 2018. He was honored recently with the Living Legend Award by the Texas Country Music Association.
Performing with Shake is a musician cut from the same kind of cloth. Like Shake, Michael Hearne started touring as a musician at age 16. Making a name for himself in his chosen hometown of Taos, New Mexico, Michael’s signature sound on the guitar and beautifully distinctive voice made him a local favorite and multi-time winner of “Best of Taos” award for performer and singer. He launched his Big Barn Music Festival in Taos in 2003. Now a three day event featuring the best songwriters and performers in Americana, Bluegrass, Country, Singer-Songwriter and everything in between, the event draws music aficionados from across the United States.
Shake and Michael started touring together in 2013. In 2014, they recorded “Live at the Centrum.” In 2016, they released their first studio album, “Only as Strong as Your Dreams.” Shake makes the annual trek to New Mexico to perform at the Big Barn, and the two do shows together as often as they can.
Tickets are $25 per person if purchased in advance and $30 at the door (cash only at the door). Tickets may be purchased below with a credit card or Paypal. Please note, tickets are NOT issued. Your receipt is your ticket. Please print and bring with you or be able show receipt on your phone. Your name will appear on the WILL CALL list at the door.
