The Odeon Preservation Association (OPA) is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization. The association was formed in 1994 by local residents, led by Spider Johnson, to purchase the Odeon Theater, which was going to be permanently closed. In addition to refurbishing the theater building, OPA is committed to providing wholesome entertainment for our youth, as well as bringing enriching cultural experiences – including music, dance and theater – for people of all ages in Mason and the surrounding communities.

New theater seating
and upgraded sound system
Please help us fund these important projects.
In June 2019, the Odeon Preservation Association is installing brand new theater seating and an upgraded sound system, and we need your help to pay for these essential improvements. The projects mark a significant milestone in the 25 years of restorations, updates and repairs that have preserved the Odeon as a valued gathering place and entertainment hub for the community, and created a dynamic performing arts center. This achievement is due entirely to the commitment, focus and hard work of friends of The Odeon in Mason, all over Texas, the U.S and around the world. Please help us fund these upgrades with your tax-deductible donation. You may donate via credit card or PayPal here, or mail a check payable to the Odeon Preservation Association, P.O. Box 700, Mason, TX 76856.
